Dr. Chadwell Celebrates National
Dental Health Month with I-Smile
To celebrate national dental health month, Dr. Chadwell is volunteering
her time and skills to treat underprivileged children. This year
she is working with the I-Smile organization. The organization
helps children who do not qualify for public assistants, but are
unable to afford dental treatment.
I-Smile is hosting a one day volunteer event on January 30, 2009;
they are hoping to treat 200 children. Dr. Chadwell is one of
four local dentists that are volunteering on the 30th. They are
receiving help from Iowa Western Community College dental hygiene
and dental assistant students. This will be a very busy, but rewarding
day for all the volunteers.
If the children require more treatment than can be done that day,
the I-Smile program director will work to place the children in
the care of local dentist who volunteer throughout the year.
Dr. Chadwell is hoping with your help she can continue to volunteer
for the I-Smile program throughout the year. She is willing to
donate one hour of time for each new patient she sees in her office
during the month of February. All you need to do to help is refer
your family and friends to our office. This is a simple, yet rewarding
way to help support your local community.
